About
About Homeschool Texas
An independent, curated guide to homeschool events, groups and resources across Texas.
Why this site exists
Homeschool events in Texas are spread across museum pages, park calendars, co-op newsletters and social media groups. Homeschool Texas gathers the good ones into one place and sorts them by region, so families can find something worth doing this week and the people to do it with.
Who's behind it
I'm Cat, a homeschool mom of 15 years, a global speaker, and an advocate for the Game of Village. My work explores how intentional communities and community schools help people learn, connect, and build a stronger sense of belonging.
I serve as Development Director at Greenbriar Community School, and I founded the Good Citizenship curriculum to help families bring thoughtful, community-centered learning into their homes.
How listings are chosen and checked
- We list events and groups for homeschool families: homeschool days, park and museum programs, co-ops, community schools, field-trip groups, statewide organizations and conventions.
- Every entry links to its official source and shows the date we last checked it.
- If a time, venue, price or name isn't confirmed, we label it Needs confirmation instead of guessing.
- Plans change. The organizer's own page always has the final word.
- Homeschool Texas is independent. It isn't a government site or part of any state agency.
